GEMSTONE OF THE MONTH IS EMERALD

The ancient Romans associated the emerald with Venus, the Goddess of love.

It is also connected to being truthful – true love.  It is certainly the stone for lovers as it is said to attract love harmony, abundance and resilience.

It’s no surprise then that it is the gem of choice for 20th and 35th anniversaries.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR EMERALD

It’s a good idea to clean your emerald two or three times a year.

You should never ever use chemicals or ultrasonic machines to clean an emerald. Neither should you clean it using heat in any way.

Be aware of using chemicals when wearing your emerald; be careful when using cleaning products.

You can clean your emerald with warm soapy water, rinse it, let it dry and then rub it with a very soft cloth.

If you have diamonds in your piece then you we can recommend using a Diamond Dazzle Stik [sic] to bring back their sparkle. £10 from Mark Lloyd Jewellery.  May Newsletter Diamond Dazzle Stik

If you want that professional finish, with no danger of dislodging any of your gems, then bring it to the experts at Mark Lloyd Jewellers.  Prices start at £25.

Big News for our May Newsletter month is about …

Mark Lloyd Originals – special, unique and soulful.

It’s worth remembering that H Lamb has long been known as `the place to go’ when you want a special piece of jewellery.  Mark Lloyd Jewellers continues to be known for quality pieces.  Before Mark made a name for himself as a talented independent jeweller he learned his trade years ago as an apprentice at Lambs.  Master Goldsmith Mark Lloyd is now a leading light in the world of independent jewellery design both at home and abroad, first as Mobeus and now Mark Lloyd Jewellery.
